Forget what you know about Cobwebbs. Well, not everything – they are still the same nihilistic scumbags they always were. But since their clean-cut inception as a teenaged blues-fried chimera, they have dived further into the gutter, smashed through psychedelic pane-glass transcience, and ended up in the darkest corner of the sonic barrel – all the while still lording over us all.

Coming out on Sonic Masala Records is Cobwebbs’ latest tome to desiccated decadence, their second LP, WORLD WIDE WEBBS. It’s time the virus went global. Eight tracks, all eating the flesh off the carcass of the gluttonous modern garage movement, all sinewy and mean, all designed to piss you off. Your anger and frustrations just feeds their disdain. Synapse fried fiction for scuzzball kings, it’s rusty-nail punk played in the basement at the end of a snuff film. Deliberately dirty, a twinkle in the eye, before the forever fade out.
